Seasonal jobs in Salzburg

Salzburg combines winter sports (Zell am See-Kaprun, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Flachau), the festival city of Salzburg with its dense restaurant and hotel scene, and the lake region of the Salzkammergut, which draws many visitors in summer. Seasonal positions are available year-round accordingly: mainly in ski resorts and wellness hotels in winter, and in lakeside hotels, restaurants, and festival events in summer. Many of the tourism-focused businesses are in smaller towns, which is why accommodation for seasonal staff is common here too. Salzburg is also one of the states with particularly detailed collective-bargaining rules for hospitality and gastronomy. The region also offers plenty of entry-level positions, since many businesses need extra staff on short notice during the festival season and winter. There are currently 260 seasonal positions in Salzburg listed. 73% of them include accommodation right at the workplace. Pay starts from €1,050 per month.
