It depends on the specific position and its minimum requirements. If you don't hold EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship and don't already have a valid Austrian work permit, you'll generally need a separate permit (e.g. a seasonal work permit or the Red-White-Red Card). The Red-White-Red Card is designed for permanent, year-round employment — a single three- to four-month season generally doesn't qualify for it, according to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. More on this in our blog post "Which 2026 jobs can lead to the Red-White-Red Card, and why a seasonal contract is often not enough".

Yes, it's often still worth applying. The listed requirements are frequently more of a wishlist than strict prerequisites — describe what you bring instead in your cover letter, and leave the final judgment to the employer. That said, there's less flexibility for requirements marked "required" rather than "a plus".

Every listing goes through an automated, quick check before it's published, supplemented by a human review for anything unusual. A small number of manually captured listings (e.g. from Facebook groups) aren't automatically presented as a verified employer publication.

An expired position doesn't disappear without a trace right away, so links keep working — the page stays reachable, but clearly shows an "expired" status and suggests matching active alternatives.

No — SeasonJobs.at is a platform, not a recruiting agency. We deliberately don't insert ourselves into the application process, so your direct contact with the employer isn't delayed by a long communication chain. If you have a specific issue with the platform itself (e.g. a suspicious listing), you can reach us via the contact form.
